The BBOX2 modem, which you get if you ordered Belgacom TV the last 6 months, has an USB device. How, for a normal user that USB device is quite useless. You can use it to charge your IPOD for example. But, actually, you can also use that as a kind of 'file server'. You can attach a simple usb stick to it for example, and browse the files over the network. I will explain you how to do that, but doing that is at your own risk and is NOT supported by Belgacom.
Voila... that's it. Now, everybody on the network, can browse to http://192.168.1.1:631 to get data from the USB device, using a web browser. In windows, you can just use internal explorer to view the files. To edit (add/remove/etc) files, open internet explorer and go to File -> Open -> give http://192.168.1.1:631 and select 'open as webfolder'. Then you will see the directory as a normal folder. NOTE: You can NOT mount all disk types, as this is not a full blown operating system. For the moment I've tested usb disks with FAT filesystem, and that worked. Didn't try FAT32 yet. NTTS is out of the question.
For questions, please ask them in our new forum. Good luck.
